New Bettie Page tattoo and I love it

Yes I got it done, four hours work and totally worth it.

Allison is coming back in October and I am going to get another tattoo by her, a very humble and talented artist, if she over here as to Canada I would get lots done lol.

This most properly get Alan excited but I am thinking a Louise Brooks face on my arm to be part of an “Icon” and strong women sleeve, with Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth 1st, Marline Dietrich, Bettie Davies and Greta Garbo.

On my other arm I am tempted by Alicia Krieg when she played the Borg queen in Star Trek first contact.

Up at 6am left flat at 8am home 7pm

Whew let’s get a glass of Budweiser.

Oh, Lucy! I just love it! I've always been a big fan of Bettie Page! I also love the idea of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth 1st (especially portrayed by Betty Davis), Marline Dietrich, Betty Davis and Greta Garbo, all female idols of mine!

I'm from an older generation, that just wasn't into body ink, but I love it on younger women, when it's truly an expression of their personality, and not just getting a tat, because everyone else is getting one. Yours are very special!

Take care, sweetie,

aww ty Melissa what a lovely thing to say.
I think the female icons of the past had so much class, I am also a big fan of Judy Garland

I can see why you waited for a special artist to create your new image, the flow of the lines is so fluid. this sort of thing takes the collaboration between an understanding person and the artist to make the whole thing work. Now of course you can only wear ink blue!

I am going to enjoy trying to make a photograph of this.

Can't believe I missed this post or the beautiful photos in it!

I love the idea of the strong women sleeve! I have a lot of Louise put away if you'd like some to look through...I also know a blog you can go to to find some lovely Bettie Davis among others.

The artist that did this is fantastic!
