Yes it was good news, I have been given the “all clear” I will be checked every 3 months with a blood test and hospital visit to keep me screened.
It took a while to sink in as the last 12 months has been a very tough time; my life has felt in a form of suspended animation.
I have been given my second chance and I want to enjoy life.
My energy levels have been getter better over the last 5 weeks since chemotherapy stopped and I have started to do my aerobics again and walking 2 miles every 2 days.
I now don’t fall asleep every afternoon and I feel my days are so much fuller.
I have also got a healthy diet, fruit every day, green vegetables at least 3 times a week with grilled chicken or fish)
I bought a bicycle
As part of my fitness and target setting routine I had wanted to get back into cycling again, Southend has lots interesting places to visit and photograph and is a good place to cycle about in.
Also it helps keep the carbon footprint reduced my Ms Persechino.
And I had in mind to train up to enter some charity bike rides to raise money for Cancer research.
So on a stroll I come across a second hand bike shop and bought myself a bike and safety helmet for £90 – bargain!
Saturday socialising
I ran a workshop at Bicon 2 years ago. Bicon is a event for bisexual people and one of the best places for trans people to meet a partner and also some great friends.
A lot of transwomen don’t always think through the process of meeting a partner (by trans-woman I mean transsexual)
I think this is a whole blog on its own; the sexual life of a male to female transsexual can be very difficult.
Anyway back on path, as I am now feeling well I am going to a Bicon coffee meeting in London on Saturday.
I want to meet some new friends and I do hope one day I will meet a new partner, we shall see.
Tuesday 4th May
I am getting a new tattoo on my left wrist and a Monroe piercing on my face.
I got my hair tinted and cut and feel alive again.
Bike update
I have just given Bella her first ride and it felt wonderful cycling again.
Yes she has a name J
Gender reassignment surgery
Well this got off track last year due to the big C.
After I got the all clear I raised the question re my “op” the doctor said it was a big op etc etc after what I been through, I explained to him that the NHS does not work first and the ball needs to roll now (sorry the Virgo in me).
He is writing to the gender clinic and I hope as we enter the winter months I will get my op date to be complete.

Tears of happiness and relief rolling down my old cheeks at these words!
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
As spring turns to summer and your strength returns, I hope to find many more happy words here, but these will always be the most wonderful ones!

Really delighted to hear you're clear. Although you have been through a gruelling year, there has never been a better time to have cancer - the treatments are so much better than even just ten years ago.
You must be impatient to be back to where you were ... but allow yourself time.

Yay, Yay and Yay. :) really pleased for you. Enjoy Bella, Bicon, and your new tattoo.
